Hey!

I’m Nicole, a writer from Maryland. I’m currently drafting a memoir, sourcing longform stories, and building my data literacy to grow my freelance career.

I write about a variety of things in a variety of forms, including personal essays and science news stories. My work has appeared in Roads & Kingdoms, Eos, and Modern Farmer.

Previously, I worked as a content writer for GitHub and the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. I also taught high school English for four years in Washington, D.C., and you can access some of my instructional assets from the Educational Resources page. A lifelong learner, I’ve been honing my writing craft as a student in the MA in Writing program at Johns Hopkins University.
